One billion euro fund volume
You don't write milestones - you achieve them. Two years after its launch, klimaVest has reached an equity volume of one billion euros. What was launched at the end of 2020 as one of the first European Long Term Investment Funds (ELTIF) for tangible assets in Germany has quickly developed into one of the remarkable products in the renewable energy segment for private investors.
Commerz Real’s klimaVest portfolio currently includes 31 operational wind and solar farms as well as 7 project developments in Germany, France, Spain, Finland and Sweden. The kilowatt hours generated are more than just a number: The electricity generation in the 2021/2022 financial year covers the electricity needs of more than 200,000 households.1

Return and impact - no contradiction
klimaVest builds up a broadly diversified portfolio of investments for the generation of renewable energies and sustainable infrastructure. The investment objective of the fund is to make a positive contribution to achieving environmental objectives within the meaning of the EU Taxonomy Regulation, in particular climate protection and climate change mitigation and adaptation, by investing primarily in sustainable assets - mainly solar, wind power and electricity grids as well as energy transmission and storage. At the same time, klimaVest aims to generate a financial return including an annual distribution.
In the medium term, the open-ended fund is expected to reach a volume of ten billion euros - an ambition supported by the current momentum.
Entry from 10,000 euros - open to many
Investors can participate in klimaVest from 10,000 euros. An investment horizon of at least five years is recommended. Units in the open-ended fund may be redeemed at the net asset value on trading days. The response to klimaVest shows: The interest in investing in renewable energy is real and growing. Almost 10,000 investors opted for the fund in a short period of time - a signal that goes far beyond a simple sales figure. The billion is the start, not the end.
